radiator fan not working

Featured Replies

got a mk3 Mondeo 22tdci titanium the radiator fan doesn't work took it off wired to battery and it works work took control module off and tested to see if there was continiuity power from one side to the other and there was any ideas what might be wrong thanks in advance

Checked the fuse(s) and relay? Is it a twin fan? If so does the other fan come on when the A/C is turned on?

There was a really helpful thread here recently on this... I'll see if I can find it for you, it involves the pink wire from the ecu to the fan control module.

If desperate to get it working you could do a work around and wire up the fan to a switch on the dashboard and switch it on and off manually when needed. Of course make sure switch and cable is of adequate amp rating  with fuse(otherwise you could have a fire).  It’s a bit of a bodge but if it means you can use the car and stop it overheating then it’s an option.  I have done this on two of my previous cars.
