Very strange one...

Mondeo MK4 1.8 TDCI 2008 Ghia

Alarm has triggered the last 2 nights with hazards but no sound. The horn is sounding if I test the alarm by deliberately setting it off so it's not a problem with the alarm sounder.

Have just had a new alternator installed and wonder if the alternator failure may have blown something or maybe the battery is damaged from the alternator failure it still reads healthy but did get drained below 8v.

Any ideas anyone?

    Common symptoms due to a low battery voltage.
    Either try a full charge and recondition or possibly consider a new battery.
