Ford Mondeo Mk 4 alarm

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone know how to stop a parked unlocked Ford Mondeo from locking itself with a passenger inside which then sets the alarm off?

Thanks

Why would it lock itself, it should only do that if you've unlocked it and not opened a door.?

If i leave it unlocked, after a few minutes the wing mirrors close automatically and the car alarm activates so, for example, if my daughter is sat in the car whilst i'm in a shop the alarm will go off.

Mondeo I had never did that but regardless of the reason for locking you should be able to disable internal sensors to stop alarm going off.

Perhaps the car locks itself because the key fob is out of range?? I have discovered you can change the settings on the alarm to 'ask on exit' to activate the interior alarm or not. That should work hopefully.
