dannydead
sadly my 2008 Focus has developed a fault - when reverse gear is used for about 30 seconds - a fault indication appears saying that a fault has occurred. The car operates normally in forward gear but the fault only disappears when the ignition is switched off for about a minute. After the minute the car operates in the normal way until reverse is selected again. I shall be glad of advice re the fault. Thank you, Dannydead

guy woodbridge
Have you got access to a fault reader? Most people on here highly recomend the free program Forscan. You can down load it to a laptop. You will need a certain type of cable (which connects the car to a laptop via usb). If however you dont feel comfortable with that, then it is advisable you find a decent local independant Ford specialist. They can then plug into your car and look for any faults stored in the cars computer. You can pay anything from £25-£60 for that diagnostic service.
