Rev hang?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I am not from UK, but I am big fan of Ford cars, and driving this car my entire time.

I am new owner of 2012 MK4 Mondeo, 1.6 diesel engine (and still driving my ‘05 Focus diesel).

After buying Mondeo, I quickly noticed few things that are unusual for me. When changing gear (especialy from 4th to 5th and 6th) I notice rev hang. If I keep clutch pressed few seconds more, rpm fell down normally. Also, clutch is very soft, but sometimes it stays on half when changing gear, it won’t come back up normally. Changing gear from 1st to 2nd is nightmare if I am not really carefull, because it starts to share whole car, also shaking is noticeable when I release gas in any gear. Anyone know what it should be? I will try to post some videos too...

Sorry for not so perfect English... Thanks!
