Mk2 focus 1.8tdci clutch change

Featured Replies

Hi, in the next few days I'll be changing my clutch, not sure what else until I remove the gearbox. I'll document here with pictures along the way.

I've done a few bmw, mini clutches before.

I only have basic tools, no lift etc. But I'm confident.

Thanks all

My 2005 is still on it's original DMF/clutch @ 175K miles and (famous last words) seems to be holding on well, I'd definitely be interested in seeing what's involved mind due.  (I've got the Haynes manual but most of it's jobs feature 25 unnecessary steps so it would be interesting to see how much work is ACTUALLY involved)

Have you got a Haynes manual?  I've got the digital Haynes version, if you need it I'm happy to send it to you.
