Water leaking in car on seats and floor

Featured Replies

I have a major leak when raining inside my 2013 Ford Focus and need some urgent advice I have heard it could be through the boot seal but no where else is wet other than the carpets and the seats

any one help please

The boot leak is usually through the vents at the sides.  The boot carpet may not be noticeably wet on top, but if you lift it up there should be some dampness under there, especially at the edges.

That water then travels forward and wets the rear footwells as well.  Water on the seats would be a bit odd though, is it the whole rear bench or just the bases?

The whole the boot is dry but all four foot wells are wet

Blimey, that's not good then!

I'd be looking at door seals next, and check the windscreen seal, see if the sound deadening around the pedals is wet.

With it being all 4 footwells it's hard to suggest anything specific.

I hope it’s the door seals as easier
