Right i have a 1.6 diesel mondeo and the start/stop has stopped working,it has had a new proper battery and the state of charge

is over 75%.

I have had a full electric check on the car and they found nothing and everything works fine on the car so after a bit of research i have come up 2 possible solutions 

which i need all of your help with,the first is a earth wire on the negitive terminal with a sensor on it and the second is a clutch pedal sensor

switch so would either of these work,any help would be great,thanks in advance Ian
