Hi, Looking for abit of advice if possible. I bought the new 2020 Ford Kuga ST Line. The model I looked at had no reserving camera so the dealer/sales said they could add one which I agreed and of course paid extra for. My issue is their is no guidelines of any kind on it. The dealer says the guidelines only come in factory models but from reading on forums, I think this is incorrect and the reserving camera just needs to be configured right by dealer.

Can anyone tell me if guidelines should appear on a reserving camera fitted by the Ford dealer.

Any advice would be really grateful.

The Ford camera has guidelines but it requires the Sync module connector to have pins fitted in  positions 14,15 and 33 to connect the camera's video lead, a live feed taken from the engine bay fuse box (or pin 1 of the rear wiper motor if the dealer were smart,) and a splice into pin 59 of one of the big plugs under the glove box in order to fit it. That is a lot of  work (time, cost.)  and the risk of getting it wrong is there as well so the dealer has fitted a cheap generic camera available together with a simple fitting kit.  

Thank you @anon for your reply. So I guess from my understanding of your reply I can't get guidelines to display of the screen. Kind of makes the camera of no real use. The cost of it wasn't actually cheap from what they quoted me for it. I am going contact Ford direct about it.
