Parasitic draw

Featured Replies

Hello, can anyone help me? Bought "new" car last Saturday. 2012 focus zetec s Everything fine for 5 days except issue connecting phone with Bluetooth. Ended up with line in active message on the aux menu. Wanted to do master re-set on radio, but couldn't access menu because of line in. Anyway after several hrs trying to connect, the next day car battery was totally flat. Couldn't even unlock doors.

This is where it gets weird, tested battery and alternator. Both ok. Pulled 3 fuses for audio system, but radio still working 🤔 put fuses back. Tried hard re-set (disconnected battery, and connected jump lead between cables to dissipate current, left over night) re-connected battery in morning everything came back. Even radio pre-sets. How is this possible?

I'm convinced the draw is something to do with sync and or radio. The line in active message when nothing is plugged in is confusing me. And also instrument cluster needles twitch when car is off.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?
