StephenFord
I must be the unluckiest SOB here. Last summer I had issues with the heater matrix pipes, where a small seal (about £4) cost me a couple of £100 to replace due to labour charges. Well, on Monday, I had another dose of steam billowing out of the driver side dash, and temperature gauge heading urgently North, yep, it happened again. Genuine Ford parts have been used now on recent and past repair. I'm hoping this isn't an annual occurrence. My garage told me that there is an official upgrade to the pipework (because the original design is so cr*p), but it takes about 5 hours to fit! So, I've really got my fingers crossed this time... JW1982
There is a cheap and easy permanent fix for this problem. Just cut approximately 2 cm of both ends of both pipes and connect the pipes with the correct size heater hose and a couple of high quality hose clamps. I repaired several Ford vehicles this way permanently for very little money.
