Wondering if anyone group members may be able to help.

Took my ford Mondeo Ghia Auto into my repair garage for it's annual MOT last week.

Sadly it failed test, mechanic at MOT centre, noticed airbag light would not turn off, upon investigating, the Position Seat Sensor on the drivers side is at fault and needs replacing to go forward to pass MOT.

The mechanic did a check, to buy new at ford. £600, meaning replacing with a whole new driver's seat.

I have been on salvage sites looking no joy.

One site in Lithuania sells the part, but not certain to purchase aboard.

 

Would anyone here know of stockists. Suppliers of older model parts for a Ford Mondeo Ghia Auto year 2001

The part I require is. Position Seat Sensor.   Ref 1122618.  

Grateful  for any assistance, really struggling to find and get this particular car part.

Well, I've had a look, and is this the one you've found?

Also, the part number  1122618  isn't printed on the part itself, so breakers yards won't know the part by that number, which is called the finis code.  However, what might be on the part is the engineering number, which is this: 1S7T-14B526-AC                 so you could do a search for this number. However you sure its the seat position sensor and not the airbag crash sensor you need, which seems to be plentiful, engineering part number is      1S7T-14B342-AC

If it helps, then the same part is fitted to both front seats. Maybe you can buy a whole seat cheap from a breaker.
