Dual climate control issues

Featured Replies

Hi

New to the club & have just picked up a 2008 Focus CC3 which I am very happy with, only 21k on the clock & in mint condition with full Ford service history. I have an issue with the dual climate control, the driver”s side vents only put out cold air 80% of the time, the pass amber side works fine. I have tried everything I can think of, setting it to mono so the temp should be the same both sides & on dual with driver”s side up full & still the same, thank God for the heated seats.....

Is this a known issues with, hopefully, an easy fix? Or is this something that I have to get professionally looked at?

Any advice would be greatly received.

Many thanks in advance.

That was an excellent display of how removing the roof from a previously decent chassis ruins the handling!  :ermm:

As for the actual question, I don't remember seeing this issue before.  Climate wasn't particularly common on the Mk2.5 overall though.  I'd suggest cleaning the temp sensor on the drivers side.  If it's full of dust and fluff it'll think the car is hot so pump out cool air all the time.  If that doesn't work, there may be an internal issue with one of the heat diverter flaps which could be a pain to fix.
