Evening all, hope everyone is well, wandered if anyone could shed any light on an issue I have.

I have a 2010 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI with a Powershift gearbox, most times when when I start the car I can hear sometimes even feel a clunk/thud immediately after start up, sometimes it will happen once, sometimes 3 or 4 clunks/thuds, sometimes none at all, there are times when it's a light clunk sometimes a real heavy clunk that can be felt through the car, it really is random, I can't say it happens more when cold or hot, what I can say it happens more than not. The only thing I can compare the noise/feeling too is very similar when I shift from park to drive, this is why I feel it could be gearbox related, but maybe not.

I've owned the car since August put approximately 3000 miles on it, the gear changes are perfectly fine, nice and smooth, gearbox does seem a little dimwitted at slow speeds as if not knowing what gear it should be in, but I'm led to believe these aren't very good boxes at slow/traffic speeds.

Since I've owned the car I've changed the gearbox oil and the filter, I've also had the TCM and PCM updated, but still get that clunk on start up, I've not found any similar issues on the net, would anyone else have an ideas what I could try?

I have the same year and powershift. sometimes make same noises . but as i undersatnd its normal for the powershift due to it being dual clutch semi auto . its just startup setting it self up to get ready.
