Keyless Titanium stating issue

Featured Replies

Hi all

new on here so this is the problem

starting problem have checked or replaced switches on clutch and brake pedals, all fuses, switched starting relay, has new battery,

engine will turn over if starter is powered directly via jump leads to another battery but NOT from normally.

auto electrician says permanent clutch sensor issue (wont clear) and on looking it up said there was a sensor on the clutch master cylinder as well.

when I looked for replacement cylinder apparently there is a sensor for stop/start.

so anyone know whether this also controls the ordinary starting sequence as well?

and as clutch cylinder is perfect can this sensor be replaced separately  and if so can it be done without removing the cylinder(pig of a job)

The car has been stuck on my drive for months now so any help would be great guys?

Yeah your auto tech is correct the sensor now is in the cyl not the pedal so you will have to buy a new cyl and fit that complete

Thanks mate for confirming that not looking forward to that job think you need to disconnect steering column and remove including  clutch pedal etc think i will try to spray some contact cleaner on it first if I  can ,just clutching at straws really will also consider bypassing the switch by removing plug if I can find a wiring diagram for this (has 3 wires green/yellow blue /brown and I think white,

only doing so to confirm it is this sensor if it is will replace as tec said if it wasn't it would be the power train (another pig job wheel off liner off remove shear bolts!)  thanks again for your help
