Hello,

I have a 2L diesel mk4 estate and there's some weird things happening. A vibration has started to come through the steering wheel and from 50mph+

There's also a strange clunking sound when I turn the steering wheel or operate the clutch & accelerator.

These issues have only started since I've done some work on the front.

I have replaced the strut top mounts on both sides along with shocks and springs (these were 2nd hand)

The left wheel bearing was replaced just before this about 10 months ago

I have more recently replaced both front wishbones, drop links and track rod ends with new parts last week. The front right bearing was also replaced at this time.

The left drive shaft was replaced with the left caliper about 5-6 months ago. Car had new pads and discs with the drive shaft.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You HAVE been busy!

I'd just recheck all the nuts and bolts for correct tightness first of all. I know that the strut tops on the mk3 have got markings to show the correct orientation... It's an arrow which lines up in parallel with the wings. (so that the arrow points front-to-back)
