I have a 56 plate mondeo. Today both the drivers door and passenger door stopped opening from the outside. Both the back doors still work and the front doors will open from the inside. Anyone have any ideas please.

    Try resetting central locking programming. To do this place key in ignition and turn on and off four times quickly, listen for a beep, this tells you it’s in programme mode. Then press LOCK then UNLOCK on key fob. That’s all that has to be done to fix many door faults. Good luck with that.

    Thank you Dave. This worked perfectly. Doors are now working again. I’m very grateful.

    Thats always the first step to take with any central locking problems. If there was still a fault the drivers door master lock is the next item to replace. Glad it’s fixed. Merry Xmas.
