Mondeo 2.0 TDCI opinions.....new member

Featured Replies

Hi all

posting here as well as new member forum.

I've got first refusal on Mondeo 2.0 TDCI auto 2008 116000 kms FFSH - mint. (I live in France hence KMs). Good or bad car? Auto box reliable and servicable? Overall thoughts much appreciated.

CHEERS!

If its a MK4, then you've got to consider whether it needs it's belts changing or if you've got documentary proof that they've been done. There's a wet belt on some that is costly to change. If it snaps then it writes off the engine.

If its a mk3, then it's a chain and doesn't need changing, ever.

If it's a 2008 then it'll almost certainly be a MK4, unless it's a late MK3 that was registered late.  If it looks something like the car shown below then it's definitely a MK4.
