Ford Mondeo Starting Problem

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I'm having trouble starting my 2008 Ford Mondeo TDCI. The problem first occurred when I was a little to on fuel. I had 60 miles left in the tank according to the display. I was parked facing upwards on a hill. When i returned to the car it was showing zero miles left. The car started but then cut out as i was pulling away.

I have since put 20 litres in the tank, changed and primed my fuel filter. Tried pulling fuel through the return line (which it fails to do, just created a vacum).

I have tried cranking the engine whilst using easystart. Still no luck.

I initially thought it was a fuel problem. But now I am thinking it could be something else.

Anyone any ideas? I have been looking through tge threads for similar problems but can't find anything. Thank you in advance.

Connect your squeezy pump thing to the out spout on the filter, and pump it. Make sure you're getting plenty of fuel thro ' it. Then reconnect the pipe and try cranking the engine.
