Heater not working

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have a ford mondeo 2014 and for a few months now, the heater is not working. It blows out cold air all the time even on long journeys. The front windscreen demister has stopped working too and before all this started, the temperature gauge would drop to zero and the car would go into limp mode. Please can anyone advise me as to what could be the problem.

Many thanks

Have you checked the coolant level, because it sounds to me like the water level has dropped and there is no water circulating  into the heater matrix. But the overriding factor seems like it’s possible the water level has dropped so much it’s no longer circulating the main cooling system and there is not enough water to register on the temperature sender.
