Replacing Faulty Indicator Stalk

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm a new Ford owner, having just bought a used 2009 Fiesta. I should pre-face by saying that I'm a complete novice when it comes to cars so forgive me if my questions and/or terminology seem amateurish.

As mentioned above, I've bought a used 2009 model and discovered that the Indicator Stalk (8A6T-13335-AC) is faulty. When indicating left it clicks down and maintains the indicator, however when indicating right it doesn't click (as I believe it's supposed to) and stay in place, as well as it won't toggle on high beams.

I've managed to remove it and have been searching online for a replacement. My questions are, are similar parts interchangeable? Would I be able to replace it with a 8A6T-13335-BC (Which seem to be more common) and if not can anyone recommend a good place to source the correct part for a reasonable price for a non-tradesman?

If there are any details I should provide that I haven't, please let me know.

Many thanks.

Hi Sam

The Bc one is a replacement number in the supersession chain so it’s perfectly ok

Great thanks for your help Gary.

Hi @PeaGreen88, could you let us know which model number of the indicator you installed?

From what I can tell, the -BC code stalk has a Trip button on top, so I’m not sure if it’s actually compatible. And even if it is, would the Trip button still function properly?
