Alloy fitment question

I'm going to pick up a set of y design 18" alloys tomorrow but I've read on ford site I might need a steeering restrictor. Can anybody clear this up for me please?

im going from 17" multispoke first pic to the y design 18" in the second pic

 

any help would be appreciated before I end up having wheels I can't use lol

Aye oop fella, I'm in the process of doing the same and have the same question. How did you get on with the Y Design?. Thanks

I did the same swap on my Mk3.5 a while back. I switched to the 18s without the steering rack limiters fitted and didn’t have any rubbing on the inner arches at all.
