Featured Replies

Hi guys I was wondering if you can help me since I have had the car in Dec the air con never worked but the switch lights up so I thought I would have it regas last week cos of the hot weather lol so I had a deal with ats for £35, so they done a pressure test and everything is fine and there was 400vol of gas in it so they topped it up to 600 but it still doesn't work I have checked relays and fuses and I still can't hear the compressor kicking in any advice would be appreciated cheers

Open those windows and pop ya head out, works like a charm…

but on a serious note… I have no idea, to be honest I’m not sure why I commented to this post..

ima leave this to the pros.

I’m the sort of guy that takes things apart and not put them back together.

Have you checked for voltage at the compressor plug?

That's was my next plan to see if it power going there and then I was going to ask a mate to probe the compressor to see if it power up 1st thanks tom for the reply

On a positive note, if the compressor has gone belly up like mine did, you can pick up a replacement on Ebay for mid £20s

my 2.5 has the variable rate always on compressor, its linked to the engine management and drops the load for hard acceleration / hills etc. and of course is far more economical as it not clunk stall the car get out and push to get it going

most cars after 2005 went this route - yes it has the dash button but there is no noise as it comes in to play....  when you have this type of system always leave it on forever and it will mostly never play up

not sure what's up with yours, of course always linked to the interior fan operating correctly
