2017 - Engine service now - No fault codes

Featured Replies

Hi All,

New to the forum and looking for some help.

2017 focus - 1.0l ecoboost - 36k miles - started showing an (orange) Engine service light a few months a go - Around the time it was due for its annual service. We originally interpreted as that - Service coming due. However we soon discovered when I tried to reset the light after a service that it was not the service light but a warning to get the car checked.

Main dealer found a code related to a neutral position sensor and replaced that. (At same time they replaced the sensor for the window washer as that was faulty. Window washer warning now gone.) Code for neutral position sensor is now also gone but light remains on and they cannot reset. Their proposed next step is to start checking wiring as they believe it to be a wiring issue or potentially an ECU problem - higher probability of wiring they think.

Anyone encounter similar issues - What was found to be the fault and resolution.

Thanks for the help!
