2015 focus stop/start battery charging

Featured Replies

I am thinking about charging my stop/start battery over night with a smart charger from Aldi I normally do it every year on all my old cars can you charge these batteries thank you

Focus 1.5tdci 2015 plate stop/start

By the way I always turn the stop start off I believe it’s doing more damage having it on

How many miles do you do a year? Do you leave the car sat for weeks before using it?

In most cases a battery charger just isn't necessary, if you're driving the car enough then the alternator will keep it topped up perfectly fine. If everything works correctly then the car will go to sleep mode after a few hours and only draw very little current for things like the alarm. It would take weeks/months to drain it to the point of not being able to start the car
