Can someone let me know what this is

Featured Replies

Hi please take a look at the photos and if you know let me know what it is

Becuase its looks similar to the boost controller solenoid and I have a issue on my 2010 ford focus MK2 2.0tdci where when I start for the first time it slowly cut out at idle then when I start it for the second time it idles and runs fine I already changed the boost control solenoid on it and this looks similar or related and think it my have something to do with it

Plugged into the scanner and got codes P0234 and P2263 but think the second code is gone as I cleaned the egr and throttle body today

Are you sure it's NOT the boost control solenoid? Looks exactly like it to me. What angle was this picture taken from?

Only other thing I can thing is EGR solenoid? I thought they were all electronically controlled, but maybe the 2L is vacuum controlled.
