MK2 Focus clutch return spring

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm trying to fit a new clutch return spring as occasionally the pedal gets stuck.

The other day I had a look and there was no spring at all (apart from the one with the yellow plastic bit).

I got a new spring and I've hooked one end into the hole above the master cylinder. There's a lug on the end of the clutch pedal with a couple of slots which I'd have thought is where the other end of the spring would locate but the spring seems too long.

The spring I ordered says it'll fit this car but I don't know if there are other shorter ones available.

Any ideas?!

Yeah I've looked at that thread but can't seem to find where the spring locates on the pedal on mine. Only thing I can think of is I have the wrong spring and it locates on the lug in the 2nd pic. If anyone has a MK2 (mines a 2.0 tdci) focus I'd much appreciate it if you could have a look!

Cheers

do an ebay search for a clutch pedal .. will show spring in position

Good shout, I had a look and all the ones on there had a lug at the end of the pedal with a hole in where the spring goes, which mine doesn't have...
