Focus mk4 retro fit reversing camera

Featured Replies

Hi.

Hoping somebody will be able to help.

I’m trying to fit a reversing camera to my mk4 focus but I don’t get an image when in reverse.

Here’s what I’ve done so far.

1. wired in the camera (tested the camera with an external monitor and it’s all working).

2. connected a 54pin adapter with the rca cable (same as the one in this image).

3. programmed the car using FORScan (I get the blue screen when the car is placed in reverse but no image from the camera).

Has anybody had any success doing this?

I keep seeing these cables and I wonder if the system needs the extra box to process the image??
