mine doesnt appear to work is there a way of testing it to find out whats wrong ? its a mk2 fl i would like to get it going again

    Leave a window down, lock the car, leave it for a few minutes and then wave your hand through the open window.

    There is a way of disabling the interior scanner to allow you to leave a dog in the car (with windows cracked open!) so it doesn't set off alarm. Maybe it's been disabled and you just need to reset it - I'm afraid I don't know the procedure, but should be in your handbook...

    its not disabled ive got button on door to disable it and if pressed says disabled
