Sync "Please say a command" audio announcement not working

Featured Replies

I am sure in the past when i pressed the sync voice command button on the steering wheel i used to get the "Please say a command" audio announcement. However, just recently i noticed that i no longer get the "Please say a command" audio anoucment but just get the visual silent prompt message to speak as shown in the following screen shot.

I am aware that if you select the advanced sync voice command option in the settings that it reduces the amount of announced audio prompts but that is disabled.

I dont think its anything to do with the latest sync or map updates or is it ?

Anyone else noticed this ?

I have noticed that voice prompt ‘destination home’ is not recognised. It’s now ‘drive home’

It might be part of the update, it's definitely changed some things.

She now says "My mistake" if you say "none of those" to the contact or track options she thinks you might have said. It used to just loop back and say please say a command again.

Thanks guys for confirming that there has been some changes. 👍

Although not a major issue as my voice commands still work but out of interest do you guys still get the "Please say a command" audio announcement when you first press the steering wheel voice control button ?

How many times before she just sighs and says 'speak up a bit!'...

Has your last update changed your voice prompts in settings to advanced?
if it has turn off advanced in voice prompt and the prompt will return.

No, the advanced setting is turned off.

Can confirm that 'Please say a command' "disappeared" as part of the sync3 update a few releases back & has remained so. As folks have said - some other commands have changed too.

Never heard 'Please say a command' in my Mk4 bought a year ago.

Thanks all for confirming its not just me. 👍

I was tempted to carry out a complete sync reset (which would have been a pain) but glad I didn't now. 😀
