Rattle coming from centre console

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on an annoying rattle I'm getting from the centre console on my 2014 plate Focus 1.0 Ecoboost.

The arrow in the photo below shows the location of the rattle - it's the silver trip panel bit. If I press firmly on that point the rattle stops.

It's most noticeable in warm weather (when the plastic is no doubt warmer) and when travelling over certain surface types.

I'm aware that all cars can develop rattles and you have to just live with them but I'd be grateful to know if there is anything that could be done about this rattle?

Many thanks
