Powershift gear indicator issue?

Just to clarify just in case i'm wrong but the Focus powershift gearbox is a 6 speed meaning 5 forward gears and 1 reverse or does the powershift have 6 forward gears? in normal drive mode there is no gear indicator but seems the car only goes up to 5th which is normal, however when i put the car in sport and press the + and - the car goes up to 7th gear? well the indicator says 7th, sometimes at 40mph i can be in 5th and press + and get it to 6th and i have once got it to says 7th but i haven't been able to since.

Slightly confused...most of the roads i drive are less than 50mph so maybe thats why i never see my car go past 5th so does this mean my car actually has a 6th gear maybe even 7th? Evans Halshaw carried out "warranty repairs" on the gearbox a few months ago and only noticed it since then so i'm thinking maybe they've took a part of another car or something? how many gears should my car have?
