Dash cam rear camera interfering with DAB

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I've just had a Nextbase 522 front and rear dash cam set fitted into my 2019 Vignale at Halfords.  I’m getting occasional cutting out of the DAB signal in areas around my home that had no problems before. It’s relatively minor, but does anybody have any suggestions that might improve things?

The main camera is hard wired and the rear camera is positioned top centre in the rear screen.

Thanks in advance

I've posted at least a half dozen answers to the problems of rear dashcams causing problems with DAB radio.

Take the rear camera off the back window and move it on to the plastic trim at the top of the tailgate. Try and position the camera as far back from the window as you can.

The other problem will be that Halfords will have run the rear dashcam cable through the headlining right next to the aerial cable which doeesn't help. If after you move the camera you still have problems with the DAB then you will have to re-route the rear dashcam cable well away from the aerial lead.
