Is there a guide to do a drum/disc swap on the mk3.5?

Featured Replies

just wondering if there is a proper guide on how to do this please

got a complete rear axle from an st so is it just a case of unbolting the old one and bolting in the new one or is there more too it?

also got the front brakes to go on as well but am worried about the master cylinder not being big enough, but lots of people have stated that it's the same across the range regardless of if you have drums or discs on the rear

don't want a longer pedal is all but if i were to go about doing a master cylinder swap then it's all the abs bleeding and stuff that would mean taking it to a garage

or is there a garage i could take it to to swap the stuff over and keep my hands clean?

the only down side to this is that i can't actually get the rear axle out of the car as it's VERY heavy!!!

thanks

ps, i'll also try to come back to this topic more often than every few months lol
