I have just received a request to allow some unknown to my ford pass!

I assume this is fraud/theft.

how can they get my details ??

    Sounds like a fantastic idea, the ability to give a stranger access to the location of the vehicle and the ability to unlock it.

    All I needed to add a vehicle to Ford Pass was the VIN number, which is easily obtained by photographing the windscreen as I walk past a car.

    I, like you, assume that this is a new way to steal cars.

    Thanks for the warning. Never bothered with Ford Pass, this is another reason I won't be trying it! 

    Has anyone reported this security issue to Ford? It would be interesting to see their comments.

    Yes I have! They have reverted to technical….. so 10 weeks later

    I wonder what would happen if you had an Automatic where the App can remotely start the car as well as unlocking it - frightening if it works like that.

    Well upto usual standards. I have emailed twice, live chat twice and got a big fat nothing from Ford.

    unsure if they understand how dangerous this situation is. Will they be replacing my car if it goes missing I wonder.?.
