i've just downloaded the latest sync update from both the Ford site and cyanlabs (both the same build number) , on closer examination the Syncmyride folder from the Ford site contains more files than the Cyanlabs folder, is this normal ?.

which files are in the Ford folder that are not in the Cyanlabs ?

It is possible that cyanlabs don't have a 'log file' and a 'donotindex' file but they are not important

The lst and dontindex files appear in both, it's the number of files within the Syncmyride folder that differ. i'm not on my home computer at the moment so cannot show you the difference.

Cyanlabs skips all the "check and log" packages.

The official updates check you have the correct hardware version, software version, enough storage space and then create the XML log.

Thanks for your reply, is it ok to use the official Ford update even though the previous updates were from cyanlabs ?. Also is there still a problem using the official update and losing A) Radio station logos and B)  GPS not working.

I updated mine to 21194 yesterday via the Ford site and have not had any problems on my 2019 Focus. 

If anything it loads from start up quicker and seems to work quicker than the precious 21020 version.

Got 21194 yesterday from ford . Radio logo on home screen now , album art appears quicker than before but that might be cause I just changed to Spotify. I’ve never had to use cyanlabs yet.
