Maps on iPhone

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

I’ve noticed in other cars not Ford you can play your radio and also have Google Maps from your iPhone  speak over the top of it ,can I do this with my 2013 bog standard radio which I believe is Sync 3 ? If so how ,cheers

If it's sync 3 then it should support apple car play.

However, as your focus is 2013, it will have sync 1, which is very basic in comparison. It is possible to upgrade to sync 3, but it's quite a costly and time consuming job which involves taking a lot of the dash to bits.

Thanks ,I’ll not be taking it to bits haha

I used to use sygic on my android phone in my last focus which had the older bt/vc radio (pre sync). That worked by playing announcements over bluetooth as a phone call which interrupted whatever you were listening to on the radio/mp3/CD and then returned after the announcement. I don't know whether Apple have an option like that?

Yes, it has.

I have been using Sygic with iPhone.
