Cylinder 2 Misfire - P0302

Featured Replies

had a cylinder 2 misfire and P0302 code on my 67 plate Focus 1.0 140, changed plugs and all was fine for a week then issue came back, went to garage who replaced coil packs and again all was for 10days then again, shuddering on idle, no acceleration, engine lights flickers while driving over 2000 revs? not sure where to go next as i'm finding it odd that changing plugs and coil packs resolved issue for short period of time?

Any ideas would be much appreciated?

A misfire will normally only trigger a code after a given amount of them have occurred and the problem you have may be intermittent or only just enough to trigger a code sometimes.

It is advisable to check the compression pressures to see if that is the problem.

Other than that, live Data Monitoring may give some clues as to what the problem is.
