Clutch pedal

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

I have a 2017 Ford Focus Titanium X, the clutch pedal is not always returning after changing gear, the clutch pedal will remain down and I have to use my foot to manually bring the pedal back ready to change gear again. I’ve spoken to a couple of garages and been advised the pedal needs a new spring but it comes with a new pedal kit. To fit new pedal & spring inc parts £400 as it’s labour intensive? Is this right, is there no cheaper option to fix this issue?

Thanks,

Loz.

I would be looking more towards the slave cylinder.

Oh ok two garages told me to replace pedal & spring. Would it just be the slave or the master as well?

Thanks

I don’t know the answer but I think to do the slave cylinder the gearbox has to come out as it’s inside the bellhousing I believe (in case you were not aware). I know other people have posted the same problem on this forum but I can’t recall the fix and I always find the search function on this forum poor.

Yes typing it in Google brings the forum answers to here better. As above @lslomo it's hard to determine without being checked out.
