Hello i wonder if anyone can help me as i have a old escord mark one and i keep getting different storys about it weather it is tax excempt ive been told that i need to contact ford to find its date of build but they look at me stupid i have me log book say it was reg at the 19th of january 1973 but no build date so please can anyone help thanking you barry

    Hi there.

    Heres an extract from the direct.gov website

    Old vehicles constructed before 1 January 1973 (historic vehicles)

    If your vehicle was constructed before 1 January 1973, you could tax it in the 'historic vehicle' tax class. Further information can be found on leaflet INF34.

    So just contact Ford and tell them you need to know to find out for the tax
