Featured Replies

HI,

Wonder if anyone can help me please.

Exhaust blowing.

Taken to kwik fit

Bloke showed me one of the 2 "material things from CAT is blowing"

Europarts dont supply only Ford garages

Do I need a new CAT or is that part separate please

I think the cat is part of the manifold on your car. It depends how rusty your current one is, you might get away with rewelding it. Otherwise you'll need a new one, which isn't cheap as cats are pretty expensive.

Its not the manifold side of the CAT its the other side

Make any difference?

Can you give us a photo of what you mean

It depends how rotten it is. Like I say, most of the time it's not possible to weld a patch on as there's no material left that's good enough to weld to.

Neither Ford or kwikfit will weld up an exhaust to get it through an MOT. You'd have to take it to a backstreet garage or a proper exhaust shop for that.

It's hard to give advise on what to do when we don't know which part of the exhaust has blown, and how bad the overall condition of it is.

Some pictures would have got us straight to the cure for you
