Just bought a Ford Focus 2 door 1.6 2005 noticed this vehicle didnt have a splash guard. Ive contacted Parts Plus Ford and they said the vehicle comes without a splash guard

Is this the case as I thought all vehicles have a Splash guard or bottom engine cover

    Splash guard, under tray, sump guard, what ever they get called has often been an option on older models. It's only since manufactures realised that it helps reduce drag and improve mpg, that they have become standard.

    Here is the Ford parts catalougue, there will be an under tray available that will fit your model.

    Many thanks.  I checked with Ford again and the reply was

    "Hi There is no listing for this car for an engine under tray"

    As Focue has said there was a part splash guard available for the 1.6 that protected the belts. This would fit your vehicle if you feel that it is something that you need.
