Climate control not working (lights up, but doesn't do anything)

Featured Replies

I have a 2002 MK3 Mondeo. For a month now my heater and fans haven't worked properly. What usually happens is the circle display lights up, but without any digits, and pressing buttons does nothing. But then I might be driving along and all of a sudden my heater will come on and digits appear, then 2 minutes later it goes off, other times it will rattle like a quiet machine gun. Something very odd going on. Any ideas what is causing it and how much it might cost to fix ? Thanks.

The attached photo is a picture of what it looks like (this isn't my picture, just showing what it looks like).
