Washers nozzle, mist not jet...?

Featured Replies

Right then you clever lot...

I am wanting to change the windscreen washer nozzles to the 'mist' style and remove the 'double jet'style that are currently fitted to my mk4 mondeo. Will any Ford Branded (or other branded) nozzle fit, or am I living in hope that this little change could happen???

Don't do it !!!

I have a Focus Mk4 with factory fitted mist jets. They never work for more than a few days before I have to unblock one or other of them.

Should be the same as the mk3 focus jets, I’ve fitted them mk6 escorts, mk5 fiestas, mk7 fiestas, and various transits, never had an issue with any of them.

In a previous car (Toyota Celica GT4) a very popular mod was to swap out the twin jet washer nozzles with a mist type (from memory they were a Volvo S60 style). They were a big improvement. There is bound to be a 'conversion' available as they're not that complex a component, and every car has them!

In my 306 days it was common to replace the 306 jets with mist jets from a Citroen Xsara.  They were also used on Rovers and Fiats as well as others...  As long as you get some with a similar angle bonnet & windscreen they're pretty universal.

MK3 Focus are a direct swap and mine have been working perfectly for 7 years now.
