Hi,

I am currently looking to buy a better than average MK 1. I would appreciate other members advice regarding choosing the right car. 

I did own a MK 1 coupe for a short period, but unfortunately chose a basket case with far too much rust. I am not in a position to start restoring a car at this time, and would like something that is better than average, and certainly something that has NO rust.

I would like to talk to those who are familiar with the MK 1 so I can get an idea of what I would need to pay, and what to look out for other than rust, which is something I have no interest in.
