My 2002 Mondeo has suddenly stopped hazard flashers working. They work when I hold in the button and stop on release. Also, the single touch multiflash indicator function doesn't work, if it ever did!  Does this model have that function and could the two issues be connected? Something in the computer maybe?

Any advice appreciated.

    Your 2002 Mondeo pre-dates computer controlled indicators. The switch is a simple latching (or in your case not) type. The indicator left / right switch will operate so long as you hold it slightly up or slightly down.

    You can get a cheap replacement hazard switch from a scrap yard for a few pounds.
