That's coolant again unfortunately.

The mounts do leak, but not on top of the metal part, and not with a pink residue.

Did you fit a new cap with the new tank?  If not, that might be weak and not holding as much pressure as it should.  Also worth checking the pipes are all seated correctly, and haven't been rubbing against anything.

Yeah, fitted a new cap and tank. If its the coolant then I am not bothered about that as that was an easy job to replace the tank.

Thank you, as soon as I get some money then I will buy another tank.

Are you sure that isn't just a stain from when the coolant previously leaked ?

Get some talcum powder and sprinkle it about the area and see after a day or so if you can see where any leaks could be coming from.

I am being bit lazy and can't be bothered going to shop for talcum powder and just wondering if baking flour would do?

Yes.  But it might attract wildlife lol.

You could tape a piece of white kitchen paper around the mount instead.

Lol many thanks, will try that instead.

Was it an old second hand tank off eBay you replaced your old leaking one with?

If it was you’re probably just unlucky that this ones gone the same way now.

If it was a brand new tank though I’m surprised that’s gone already this quickly!

Yeah it was a new tank, that was the reason why I needed other peoples opinion as I didn't think it would go in just few months.

No 12 month Guarantee on the part?

I would be trying to get a free replacement tank if its failed in under 12 months.
