Aircon hose replacement for 2013 Mk7 Fiesta

Featured Replies

I've got a 2013 Mk7 Fiesta that is beginning to show its age. A couple of weeks ago, the high pressure hose for the air conditioning system failed. Unknown to me, it had been rubbing against the fan housing behind the radiator.

Took it to the garage for sorting and of course Ford don't make that part any more. There's a new part, but that would mean getting a new condenser too. That and the fitting and regas comes out at £800. Not happening.

I've tried sourcing the hose from eBay and 1st choice Spares and the like without success. Apparently, this hose was only manufactured for around 18 months so it's rare as hen's teeth.

There are parts with this number on eBay but when I ordered one it had the same number but was a completely different fitting. Which was annoying...

The part number is C1B1-19972-CA.

Does anyone knows where I could get this part? All help and advice gratefully received.

Thanks for this, unofix. Sadly, that looks exactly like the part I bought the other week that isn't compatible. It is significantly different at one end to the part on my car, which looks more like the one in the attached photo. This photo is from a listing on eBay for a part number C1BH-19972-BA (taken from a MK7 ST180 1.6 ECOBOOST - mine is a Titanium 1.0 Ecoboost), which is slightly different to the number on my car. I'm just a bit wary about ordering this and then finding that it doesn't fit (again).

I suppose I could just take the risk and return it if it doesn't fit.

I've just answered my own question here, haven't I?

I've placed the order.

Thanks for listening though...

I have exactly the same problem. Did your order fit?

Could you not remove part and get a hose hand made.

I searched for auto/car hose makers and many came up

Dan

Good idea, I'll give it a try, thanks. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to know if araykay was successful. I hope he reads this 😉

I’ve had this very issue going on 4 years now and still haven’t had a solution - other than paying hundreds to Ford. I had a whole new pipe made by Pirtech in Guildford and that just wasn’t strong enough for the pressure, so it still leaked. If anyone does find any replacements parts that will work, please let me know!!!

I have followed the advice of Danny and have found a workshop that has specialized in the repair of aircon hoses that are no longer available from the manufacturer. Was also not quite cheap but has worked.

Thanks again Danny

Happened to me too, on a 2012 ecoboost.  Luckily and exact part number appeared on ebay - I used the part no as a saved search but took several months for one to appear.  No-one in my area was willing to make up a new pipe either, said they werent able to re-use the connectors each end.

When the ebay replacement was fitted, I attached a jubilee clip over the hose where it contacts the fan shroud, to act as a metal protector.

Had mine repaired with a company called HYDRAQUIP , £15.06 INC VAT, couldn't believe it was possible but it works fine.

Had the same problem, found a company who repaired it for me for £15.06 (HYDRAQUIP), couldn't believe it at first but it works fine

I've had the same problem, been looking for weeks.

Ford's online shop have been really useful, and got back to my query - turns out the Engineering number corresponds to a much less rare Part number, which is still being sold on the Ford shop. Exactly the part I was after!

In the UK, a 2013 Fiesta is a Mk7, not a Mk6.

What part are you searching for ?

Hi all. Apologies for late responses. I gave up on the hose replacement odyssey and sold the Mk7 Fiesta last year. I've now got a nice shiny Black 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid mHEV 155 ST-Line X Edition. Love it. Best of luck with your respective hose ventures.
