Titanium X Daylight Running Lights

Right then, latest update on this problem.

I've managed to source a new headlight unit and have just swapped them over. On startup the DRL now comes on as it should, but after a few seconds goes out again. I don't have a warning light on the dash anymore though so anyone have any ideas why it might keep going off after a few seconds?

The replacement is faulty ?

You need to try it on the other side of the car, swap both the N/S and O/S lights over and see if the fault stays with the headlight unit.

I've tried them on the other sides now and it is definitely the light is broken. Was assured it was in full working order so annoyed doesn't even come close. Should have just bit the bullet and bought the new one from Ford.

Hopefully the seller will have marked it in some way to ensure he'll know it's his, and you are able to return it...

I've not started that battle yet so will have to see how it plays out.

So I contacted the seller, and fair-do's to them they were very apologetic and happy for me to send it back for a refund....

....however....

....went to take the headlight out of the car this morning to send it back and it's suddenly working, and has been all day!! It would seem that the headlight has to be connected to the power for a while before the LEDs work, almost like the system needs to charge up. Anyway, got full working lights again now so hopefully can get the MOT and go on holiday this weekend.
