Timing Belt Kit

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Could someone please help me out regarding a timing belt kit. I want to do mine, however there are plenty of choices . I was recommended to go with Continental kit as the water pump does not have any plastic , meaning the propeller is metal not plastic. However can't seem to find the right one for my Mondeo 2015 Hatchback 2.0 l,  180 bs . Would appreciate suggestions, or links . Thank you.

I'm going on what it lists on the continental website and catalogue.

This seems to be such a mix of answers. Looking at buycar parts says is compactible .Could you please  send me the site you looked the information. I am struggling to get a the kit some people told me about. Thank you.

Can you contact Continental directly to ask?

I doubt it . I'm confident that part number is correct. It's the same for the 150hp and 180 hp engine. Can't remember what kit I had when I did mine. Whatever the motor factor sold me.

Works now.

I think all they will do is look at the catalogue.

Thanks once again Ian,  I didn't noticed the tab for the catalogue. Yes you were right on the catalogue  says  it supports the engine, and even gives the code of the engine. However when you go on the kit it self Timing Belt Kit + Water Pump  CT1140WP2 ,   https://www.continental-engineparts.com/eu/en-GB/Automotive-Aftermarket/PIC-Katalog/PIC-Product-Information-Center-1/?lg=en  on the vehicles tab does not show Ford Mondeo only Ford  S Max.

It does. That's the screen shot I just posted for mondeo

If you click on CT1140WP2 , and then on the vehicles tab on the bottom does not say Mondeo. It might be the case they did not update or something.

It does on page 8

Omg I feel ashamed, I did not all pages as I saw Ford and though that was all. Don't know how to thank you enough. Thanks Ian , you are a super star. 👍👏👌 .

In fairness, that database is terrible.  It's almost as good as the search function on here!

Are you doing the belt yourself? If you are you will need a hair dryer.
